Meat Sale Pick-up on Sunday 5-24
Hi Friends,
I hope this finds everyone safe and healthy. We have been busy around the farm and in the fields the past couple of weeks. We have about 75% of our corn planted, and the hay we planted back in April is looking very good. Hopefully we can get a few more dry days to finish our corn and soybean planting and move on to our first cutting of hay.
We had another group of cattle processed last week. I will be picking them up this week and they are now available for pre-order. The price page link is at the bottom of this email. We will be hosting another drive-through style meat pick up this Sunday, the 24th. We will have a fresh supply of hamburger patties, 1# hamburger, roasts and steaks.
We may run out of some of the items, so all of the orders are filled on a first ordered, first fulfilled method. We are accepting orders until 9 AM Saturday. We will start packaging orders at that time. We will total everything up and send you an email with your total, and if we ran out of anything, we will let you know in that email. We will have those emails out to you Sunday by noon.
We have been getting requests for our pasture raised chickens. Our first group is growing and doing well. We couldn't get our normal processing date for this group, which would have made them about eight weeks old and around 4-5#. The first date we could get for this group at the butcher will make them 10 weeks old. We are expecting them to dress out around 7-8# and should make a very nice roasting chicken. They will be going to the butcher on June 8th. We will be posting a pre-order for these birds soon. We also have a group going to the butcher on June 22nd. They will be our normal size, so things will be on schedule from that group through the end of the season.
